What is a Playshop?
Well, most folks call them workshops, but when Reggies at the helm, theyre just too much fun to call work!

Reggie regularly leads playshops at schools, conventions, places of worship, concerts, retreats and clinics.

"If I can just impact 1 of 10 people, I get rewarded," explains Reggie. "I got this call from Mac, this blind piano player. Mac's about 14 years old. I met him a year ago through DK Stewart... DK's been teaching him Boogie woogie piano and he's good and I was impressed when I saw him last year. Well I did a workshop at the blues festival this year and I saw him with his parents, and I told them that I had this workshop coming up... we did a song or two and I noticed the reaction of people in the audience, identified a couple of kids and asked them would they come to the stage and participate. And I had some chairs sittin' down there and they got in the chairs and I had some percussion instruments for 'em and they were teenagers, y'know, so you know how hard it is to get teenagers to participate?! Cause they're at that awkward age where they don't wanna look jive. Three young teenage males too, and they participated! ...and Raven, deaf young lady I met a club and just saw her signing and dancing, but she was dancing to the rhythm! And I'm going to have her participate in this [workshop] I'm doing in Corvallis... and you know, if I can get the deaf and the blind to come into this very foreign land that we take for granted, of the sounds and the sights of what I do... through it all they bring something to the table, they bring that which we all could use to bring all of us together."
